TDP Leader Nara Lokesh Condemns Unauthorized Excavations at Srikalahasteeswara Temple
Nara Lokesh, the national general secretary of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has vehemently criticized the unauthorized excavations taking place within the sacred premises of the Srikalahasteeswara temple. He expressed his deep concern over this blatant disregard for archaeological and endowment guidelines, considering it not only a violation of norms but also a morally reprehensible act.
Lokesh called for swift action against those responsible for these offensive excavations, emphasizing the need to protect the temple's rich historical heritage. He specifically accused YSRCP MLA Biyyapu Madhusudan Reddy of engaging in various sacrilegious activities on the temple grounds.
In a statement released on Tuesday, Lokesh revealed that the MLA had ordered the demolition of rooms within the ancient temple premises where sacred prasadams were prepared for the Lord and the Goddess. Additionally, he alleged that the sanctity of the Mruthunjaya puja, a vital religious ritual, was also compromised.
The TDP leader's strong condemnation highlights the importance of preserving cultural and religious landmarks while upholding the principles of law and order. Lokesh's call for immediate action underscores the need to protect the sanctity of revered sites like the Srikalahasteeswara temple from any unlawful activities that could harm their historical significance and spiritual value.
