TDP Sets Ambitious Winning Targets in Key Constituencies for Naidu and Lokesh

The Telugu Desam Party (TDP) has set formidable goals of securing a one-lakh majority in the Kuppam and Mangalagiri assembly constituencies, where party leader N Chandrababu Naidu and his son Nara Lokesh are poised to contest. While Naidu has never tasted defeat in Kuppam, Lokesh faced a setback in his electoral debut in 2019 when he lost to YSRCP's Alla Ramakrishna Reddy.
Both father and son are gearing up for extensive tours across constituencies, commencing in January. Naidu will initiate his campaign in the Rayalaseema region, while Lokesh will focus on the north coastal districts. Ahead of their constituency visits, they are concentrating on their own electoral strongholds.
Lokesh has already embarked on a proactive approach in Mangalagiri, reaching out to politically neutral prominent figures. Despite his previous electoral setback, he is determined to serve the people and regain their trust through his vision for local development.
In contrast, Naidu, who has secured victory in Kuppam seven consecutive times, faces a renewed challenge. Despite his past successes, the TDP lost control of the Kuppam municipality and some rural areas to YSRCP in the local body elections following the 2019 assembly polls. Both constituencies are now matters of prestige for the TDP, with a focus not only on winning but winning by a substantial margin. Naidu has recently set an ambitious target of achieving a one-lakh majority in Kuppam, mirroring Lokesh's determination to secure a similar mandate in Mangalagiri.
