TDP's 'Jai Ho BC' Campaign Aims for Backward Classes Empowerment
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N. Chandrababu Naidu has launched the 'Jai Ho BC' campaign, pledging to empower the Backward Classes (BCs) financially and politically if the TDP returns to power. This campaign seeks to highlight the injustices faced by BCs during the Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) regime.
During the launch, Naidu stressed that the TDP has a stronger representation of BC leaders compared to the YSRCP and has been instrumental in nurturing BC leadership. He criticized the YSRCP for reducing BC reservations in local bodies from 34% to 24% and pointed out the significant job losses in the last five years.
Naidu also raised concerns about the massive BC debt incurred by the YSRCP government, amounting to Rs 75,000 crores. He questioned Chief Minister Jagan Reddy's unfulfilled promises and his failure to benefit the BCs despite claiming substantial expenditures.
Naidu reaffirmed Amaravati as the sole capital of Andhra Pradesh and pledged to complete its construction. He criticized the Jagan government for accumulating significant loans, with half of the burden falling on BCs. He alleged that only the chief minister-owned Sakshi paper and TV had benefited from the government.
The 'Jai Ho BC' campaign underscores the TDP's commitment to addressing BC concerns and advocating for their rights.
