TDP's Nara Lokesh Claims YSRC Leaders Shunning CM Jagan, Foresees Power Shift
TDP's general secretary, Nara Lokesh, asserted during the Sankharavam program in Narasannapeta, Srikakulam, and Amadalavalasa constituencies that numerous incumbent YSRC MPs and MLAs are avoiding interactions with Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy, signaling their belief in his diminishing influence.
Lokesh highlighted a recent incident in New Delhi where only six out of 31 YSRC MPs greeted Jagan, interpreting it as a sign of their readiness to move on from his leadership. He emphasized the sizable turnout at TDP gatherings as evidence of public readiness to oppose the YSRC in future elections.
Drawing attention to high liquor prices in the state, Lokesh accused Jagan of burdening citizens with exorbitant taxes, alleging that Jagan's policies have generated substantial revenue, with liquor sales alone yielding Rs 45,000 crore over five years.
Reflecting on insights gained from his Yuva Galam Padayatra, Lokesh expressed confidence in the TDP-JSP alliance's prospects for assuming power in the state.
Expanding on his observations, Lokesh cited widespread dissatisfaction among the populace, particularly regarding the economic strain caused by escalating liquor prices. He asserted that this discontent is fueling a groundswell of support for the TDP-JSP coalition, evidenced by the enthusiasm at their public engagements.
Moreover, Lokesh underscored the strategic retreat of YSRC leaders from association with CM Jagan, viewing it as a tacit acknowledgment of his waning authority. He speculated that this internal discord within the YSRC could further bolster the opposition's electoral prospects.
