TDP's New Troubleshooter Is Lokesh!
In the first known incidence of discord inside the TDP, Kanna Lakshmi Narayana's selection as the party's candidate for the Sattenapalli Assembly seat was the spark. Former minister and BJP defector Kanna was given the party's nomination. Kodela Sivaprasada Rao, a senior TDP politician, sadly committed himself after losing the 2019 elections to Ambati Rambabu, allegedly owing to pressure from the YSRCP administration.
A period of quiet followed Kodela's passing among the TDP in regards to the Sattenapalli Assembly seat. Sivaram, Kodela's son, and Mannem Sivanagamalleswara Rao, another TDP politician, were both candidates for the Sattenapalli seat at the time. Kodela Sivaram began campaigning for the TDP nomination in Sattenapalli around a year after his father's death. He orchestrated ceremonies in the district to dedicate a monument to his late father. But with Kanna's joining the TDP, the dynamics shifted, and the expectations of other party candidates were destroyed.
Sivaram voiced his open displeasure with the party's choice to give Kanna Lakshmi Narayana the Sattenapalli ticket. Acchenaidu, head of the TDP, responded by making many overtures to Kodela Sivaram. Sivaram has been rather quiet recently.
One notable person who attended Lokesh's "Yuvagalam" event was Kodela Sivaram. Lokesh spoke with Sivaram and Nagamalleswara Rao on the phone before his padayatra arrived in Sattenapalli. All of the TDP leaders greeted Lokesh enthusiastically upon his arrival at Sattenapalli. This included Kanna, Kodela, and Mannem.
Lokesh used this opportunity to thank Kodela Siva Prasad for his contributions to the betterment of the district. A picture of Lokesh strolling with Kanna and Kodela has gone popular online. The goal of these initiatives was to improve communication and cooperation among TDP officials in the Sattenapalli area.
