Telangana Aims To Work For The Welfare Of Fishermen's Community.

Releasing baby prawns in the Rylampad reservoir of Dharur Mandal in Gadwal district, MLA from Gadwal Bandla Krishna Mohan said that the welfare and development of the fishermen community had been given the highest priority in Telangana State.
Speaking on occasion, the MLA said that no State in India like Telangana has been giving priority to the revival of caste-based employment, creating employment sources within the villages and improving the economic conditions of these communities.
Krishna Mohan stressed that the KCR govt is giving free baby prawnsand fish lings to the fishermen so that they can rear them and later sell them to the local markets and even export to other nations and earn good returns and make livelihood within their own village without having to migrate to other places.
The MLA said they released over 2 lakh shrimp lings into the Rylampad reservoir. He said apart from providing free fish lings and shrimps to the fishermen community, the state government is also providing other facilities like vehicles, fishing nets, and others for marketing at subsidized costs. The state govt is also providing insurance coverage to the fishermen's community so that if any fisherman dies in an accident, their family members will be protected financially.
