Telangana Crosses 1000 Mark For COVID-19 Cases

Telangana, on Sunday, crossed the 1000 mark for the number of coronavirus cases in the state after Eleven new Covid-19 positive cases were reported by the evening.

While nine patients recovered from the disease and were discharged on Sunday taking the total tally of cured patients to 316. The COVID-19 death toll in the state stands at 25.

Hyderabad continues to report the highest number of positive cases with 540 cases reported so far. Followed by Nizamabad with 61, Gadwal with 45 and Vikarabad with 37. According to the report released by the health and family welfare, the only three districts in Telangana where coronavirus cases have never been reported are Wanaparthi, Yadadri, and Warangal-Rural.

Telangana has already increased the lockdown period to 7^th May and the quarantine phase to 28 days from the earlier 14 days.
