Telangana Residents Stranded In Dubai Reach Home After KTR Intervenes

A group of 5 young people from Telangana were stranded at the Dubai Airport 20 days ago after the officials refused to allow them to board a flight to India. They were finally able to reach their homes on Thursday night after IT Minister KT Rama Rao took the initiative.
While 4 youngsters were from Rajanna-Sircilla, 1 was from the adjacent Nizamabad district. As they reached home, they thanked the Rama Rao for the help.
On October 9, the youngsters sent a video message to their family and friends explaining their ordeal in Dubai. They also requested KTR to help them return home. Local public representatives shared their video on Twitter, tagging the IT Minister. KTR responded immediately and spoke to Indian embassy officials. They said the 5 were brought back home with the Minister bearing all expenses.
All 5 youngsters had migrated to Dubai in search of jobs some time ago. They were offered jobs in a Dubai-based company after attending interviews via some ‘Gulf agents’ in Sircilla, Vemulawada, and Nizamabad.
However, they didn't provide the promised jobs, and the salary. When they questioned, the company got a police case registered against them, saying they were creating a nuisance after drinking.
The company officials promised to allow youth to return to their home if they arranged flight tickets on their own, which they did. However, airport authorities refused to allow them to board the flight as a police case was registered against them.
