Telangana: Rs 34 Cr Sanctioned The Establishment Of 5 New Medical Colleges

KCR government has accorded sanction to the tune of Rs.34.38 crore for taking up works to establish five new medical colleges.
It is estimated that Rs 6.80 crore will be spent on the construction of the 3rd floor on the existing 2nd floor of District Hospital, Sircilla, for the Government Medical College, Sircilla. In addition, an additional floor and wards have been sanctioned for the Government Medical College, Kamareddy, at an estimated cost of Rs.4.53 crore.
Modifications will be made to the existing building at the TB & Chest Hospital, Ananthagiri, to accommodate first-year students at the Government Medical College, Vikarabad. The approximated cost of the work is Rs.8 crore. As well, first-year students will be accommodated in the existing building in the District Collectorate, Khammam, and Government Medical Khammam at an estimated cost of Rs.8.05 crore.
Approximated cost of Rs.7 crore, renovation of the seeds godown will be done for accommodating 1st-year students of the Govt Medical College, Karimnagar. The works will be taken up by the Telangana State Medical Services & Infrastructure Development Corporation.
