Telangana To Build World's Largest Electric 3-Wheeler Factory

Telangana will get its 3-wheeler factory soon as California-based Biliti Electric Inc (Biliti) intends to set up the world’s largest factory with240,000 electric vehicles each year ( production capacity).
Billti is a popular last-mile delivery vehicle deployed in 15 countries across the globe, including Japan, UK, France, Portugal, the USA, Germany, Uganda, Dubai, Kenya, Senegal, Nepal, Lebanon, Bangladesh, and India.
It is expected to create 3,000 jobs; the new plant will drive private investment of USD 150 million.
Biliti currently manufactures its three-wheelers through an exclusive manufacturing partnership with Gayam Motor Works (GMW) in Hyderabad.
"When we launched the EV policy two years ago, it was with the mission of making Telangana a preferred destination for setting up electric vehicle manufacturing," said IT Minister KTR on occasion. We see that becoming true with companies like Biliti establishing the world’s largest three-wheeler factory here.”
Biliti Electric’s CEO, Rahul Gayam, said that “The Taskman” has already made more than 12 million deliveries worldwide.
The facility will be built in two phases. Phase I will cover 13.5 acres with the capacity to produce 18,000 vehicles per year and will be ready by early 2023. Phase 2 of the facility, covering 200 acres, will be operational in 2024 and can produce 240,000 vehicles per year.
