Telangana Women Recall Sushma Swaraj’s Role To Bring Them Back

The senior leader of Bharatiya Janata Party, Sushma Swaraj, who passed away on 6th August late evening, was a beloved leader and an inspiration for all. Her sudden demise came as a shock for the entire nation. In her last tweet, she congratulated Prime Minister Narendra Modi for revoking Article 370. People from all walks of life mourned for her and paid their respects.
Anjum Fatema, from the state of Telangana, recalled Sushma Swaraj’s role to help her get back to India. Anjum went to Saudi to earn money but was left stranded there. She worked there for six months but then told that she was being tortured by her employer and contacted the External Affairs Ministry in India. Sushma Swaraj did everything possible and brought her back.
In a similar case, a Hyderabadi woman who was trafficked to Oman on the pretext of the job was rescued after five months. Kulsum Banu was promised Rs. 30,000 job in a beauty parlour in Muscat. But when she reached there, she was made to work as a housemaid. She also accused the agency to lock her up for ten days without food. Sushma Swaraj had helped her and brought her back to India.
Being an External Affairs Minister in the last government, Sushma Swaraj has helped hundreds of stranded men and women in foreign lands, to get back to India.
