Telangana: YS Sharmila urges opposition unity against unemployment
YS Sharmila, leader of the YSR Telangana Party, has written to Telangana's opposition party leaders, asking them to work together in the fight to help the state's young people who are currently without work.
Sharmila said that the 'insincere' and 'insensitive' government that had failed to release notifications and fill posts for the past nine years needed to be brought to justice regardless of political differences.
The letters were written to Revanth Reddy, head of the state Congress; Bandi Sanjay, head of the state BJP; Kasani Gnaneshwar, Kodandaram; Manda Krishna Madiga, founder of the MRPS; Tammineni Veerabhadram, head of the CPI-M, Kunamneni Sambasiva Rao, head of the JSP, and president of the AIMIM, Asaduddin Owaisi.
It's admirable that your party is taking on the KCR government's stance on unemployment. The paper leakage scam, which he helped facilitate, has dashed the dreams of young people waiting for the notification for a long time. While we will always be there for one another, now is the time to establish a Joint Action Committee and take the fight to the BRS to get them out of power.
While we have been fighting separately for the future of the state and the future of the youth, let us join hands for the future of Telangana and the future of the youth. In her speech, Sharmila said, "Together we have to put pressure for the sake of the youth whose sacrifices had paved the way for the formation of Telangana," specifically referring to the Biswal Committee's suggestion to fill 1.91 lakh vacancies and ensuring a fair investigation into the TSPSC paper leak.
