Telangana's Kaleshwaram project impresses American engineers.
Maria C. Lehman, president of the American Society of Civil Engineers, has suggested that every one may take a lesson from the Kaleshwaram project in Telangana.
The globe may take lessons from Telangana's Kaleshwaram project, the biggest lift irrigation project in the world, according to Maria C. Lehman, president of the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
On Monday, Lehman presented IT Minister KT Rama Rao with a American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) plaque honouring the Kaleshwaram Project as a lasting emblem of technical advancement and teamwork. "We will promote the videos and show them to others," she said. After giving a speech at the ASCE's World Environmental and Water Resources Congress 2023 in Nevada, USA, the Minister met with the organization's leadership to discuss his experience. During the meeting, ASCE delegates discussed their impressions and lessons learned from last year's trip to the Kaleshwaram construction site.
Kaleshwaram has been called a "mind-blowing and amazing project" by the incoming president of the American Society of Civil Engineers and the Environmental and Water Resources Institute (ASCE-EWRI), Shirley Clark. Brian Parsons, director of the ASCE-EWRI, said that Kaleshwaram's social benefits deserved an "extra checkmark" for its overall success.
