Telugu Yuvatha Files Police Complaint Against A.P. Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy for Alleged Deception of Unemployed Youth
Telugu Yuvatha, a frontal organization of the Telugu Desam Party (TDP), has lodged a police complaint against Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy, accusing him of "failing to fulfill his election promise of releasing a job calendar every year, thereby deceiving the unemployed youth."
Led by Telugu Yuvatha State general secretary A. Ravi Naidu, a group of unemployed youth visited the Alipiri police station and submitted the complaint on Wednesday.
In a subsequent media statement, Mr. Ravi Naidu highlighted that Jagan Mohan Reddy, while serving as the Leader of the Opposition, had pledged to fill 2.35 lakh vacancies immediately upon assuming power. "Four-and-a-half years later, the promise has remained mere rhetoric, leaving the unemployed youth feeling deceived," he remarked. The complaint filed by Telugu Yuvatha noted that 189 unemployed youth had reportedly taken their own lives since the YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) came into power in the state. Holding the government accountable for these tragic deaths, the party urged the police to take action against the Chief Minister.
