Tharoor, Sule Thank PM Modi for Operation Sindoor Delegation Roles

Congress MP Shashi Tharoor and several opposition leaders expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi for including them in the Operation Sindoor outreach initiative. This mission, aimed at garnering global support against terrorism following the Pahalgam terror attack, saw multi-party delegations visit 33 world capitals. The delegations included parliamentarians and former diplomats who represented India's united stand against terrorism.
Tharoor, who led the Americas delegation, posted on X, “We are all grateful for the opportunity to be of service to the nation.” He was joined by leaders like Supriya Sule (NCP-SP), Sanjay Jha (JD-U), Shrikant Shinde (Shiv Sena), Rajeev Rai (SP), Manish Tewari (Congress), and BJP MP Nishikant Dubey in thanking the Prime Minister. Modi hosted these members at his residence for an informal meeting, where they shared their international experiences and discussed how various countries reacted to India’s stance.
Modi praised the delegations for effectively presenting India’s perspective, highlighting their role in reinforcing national unity. The Centre had earlier acknowledged the contributions of these teams, which included notable figures like former ministers Ghulam Nabi Azad and Salman Khurshid, and AIMIM MP Asaduddin Owaisi.
Shinde, who led delegations to nations like UAE and Liberia, said the meeting emphasized the importance of continued bilateral engagement. SP’s Rajeev Rai noted that each nation they visited condemned terrorism and assured India of their support.
BJP’s Nishikant Dubey added that the interaction reflected Modi’s close attention to their efforts. Tewari described the meeting as a “comprehensive and holistic” conversation. Overall, the initiative was widely seen as a successful example of bipartisan collaboration in India's foreign outreach and counterterrorism efforts.
