The Controversy Over an NTR Statue in the U.S.
TG Vishwa Prasad, head of one of the most buzzworthy Telugu production studios, People Media Factory, wanted to put up a statue of Telugu film legend NT Ramarao for the first time in the United States in Edison, New Jersey. This effort also includes the North American Seema Andhra Association (NASA).
The centenary of NT Ramarao's birth was the impetus for the creation of this monument. North America Seema Andhra Association (NASA) and People Media Factory whiffed.
We got the OK from the City Governor and everyone else who needed approval. The planned opening date was May. However, we ran into trouble when one neighbourhood opposed housing the monument. We are working on a solution right now.
However, the inhabitants were Indian and spoke Telugu. They questioned the decision to grant authorization to build the monument. It will take some time, but we'll get there," he remarked.
Given the recent controversy surrounding the NTR Statue of Lord Sri Krishna in Khammam district, we also inquired about the statue's shape.
We had yet to envision the statue as Sri Krishna originally. But if we want to maintain the figure in its Avatar of Krishna form. We were put to the test immediately. Vishwa Prasad added, "We will also solve this in the process of solving that issue."
There's a possibility that two different communities will accomplish this. If their objection was based on their caste, we could infer one group; if it was political, we could infer another.
It is really sad that even in the United States, even in the case of a Legend like NTR, caste and politics play a role.
