The Indian-American CEO of an adult app quits.
Amrapali Gan, an Indian-American businesswoman, made news when, at the age of 36, she became the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the popular adult content app OnlyFans. The London-based business was started in 2016. During the pandemic, it got a lot of attention as a way for people who make adult content to make money from it.
Amrapali Gan recently said that she was leaving OnlyFans to try to find other work. OnlyFans has chosen Keily Blair to be its new CEO.
During Gan's time as CEO, OnlyFans grew a lot, with more than 220 million users worldwide and more than 3 million creators on the site. Also, the company reached a big milestone when it paid out more than $10 billion to its founders.
Gan, who was born in Mumbai and has lived in California for a lot of her life, said she wants to start a new business called Hoxton Projects. The goal of Hoxton Projects is to change the way agencies work by helping founders and growing businesses use effective communication and marketing strategies to highlight their purpose and competitive edge.
