The Jungle Book’s director, Jon Favreau, has come up with his next movie as a director - ‘The Lion King’. The movie was released on 19th June 2019 in India and is attracting many audiences to the theatre. It promises good content for kids. The movie has already garnered the attention of international media. In India, the movie was released in four different languages, English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.
This is Disney’s remake of the 1994 movie – the Lion King, which did a whopping business of $968 million. The storyline is kept similar to the original movie, but here the emphasis is more on Simba’s growing-up phase. The essence of betrayal and retribution is not lost in the new version, it is kept simple and uncluttered.
Simba’s voice is given by Aryan Khan, son of Shahrukh Khan. Pumbaa (voiced by Sanjay Mishra) and Timon (voiced by Shreyas Talpade) injects humor to the movie. During translation, some elements lost touch, but the greatest visual effects and spectacular animation takes precedence and it cuts most of the pitfalls.
