The Prime Minister Meets His Mother In Gujarat After The BJP Won 4 States.

PM Narendra Modi on Friday met his mother, Heeraben Modi, at her residence in Gujarat's capital city Gandhinagar. This comes after the BJP clinched victories in 4 of 5 states, including the crucial UP, which went into polls between February and March.
Narendra Modi is currently in his home state for a 2-day visit that will end on Saturday (March 12). He addressed a mega Panchayat convention earlier when he invoked Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel.
"Gujarat is the land of Bapu and Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Bapu always talked about rural development self-reliant villages. Today, as we are marking 'Amrit Mahotsav,' we must fulfill Bapu's dream of Grameen Vikas," the prime minister said.
During his stay in Gujarat, he will also sound the poll bugle for the upcoming assembly elections. The BJP has been in power in the western state since 1995, and Modi served as the chief minister for four terms between 2001 and 2014.
