The barricades at Pragati Bhavan are currently being dismantled
Hyderabad: The removal of barricades at Pragati Bhavan has commenced, allowing unrestricted public access and easing traffic flow in the area. Workers equipped with gas welding tools are cutting down and dismantling the ten-foot-high fence that was installed by authorities due to frequent instances of unauthorized access to Pragati Bhavan premises.
While the barricades were intended to address security concerns, they also created bottlenecks on the main road, causing frequent traffic gridlocks for motorists.
The decision to take down the barricades follows the recent announcement by Telangana Chief Minister-designate Revanth Reddy, set to be sworn in today, that Pragati Bhavan would be opened to the public. In a previous statement, Revanth Reddy had expressed the intention to allow public access to the Chief Minister's residence.
