The election becomes more difficult for Kavitha
Kavitha, the daughter of KCR, lost the 2019 General Elections to Dharmapuri Aravind of the BJP. She was appointed a member of the Legislative Council, and there are rumours that she will compete for Assembly elections later this year. However, her name did not appear on the list of candidates announced by KCR, indicating that she will run for office from Nizamabad itself. However, the election has become difficult for the daughter of the KCR. Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently made an important announcement at the Palamuru meeting. He announced the Turmeric Board for Telangana, a longstanding demand of Nizamabad's cultivators.
The board will aid in the promotion, processing, marketing, and export of turmeric, providing a boost to turmeric cultivators. Nizamabad is one of Telangana's main turmeric-producing districts, and the Nizamabad Agricultural Market Yard is one of the state's most important turmeric markets. Before 2006, farmers initiated a movement demanding the Board, and it has been a significant demand ever since. Later, it also became an election issue.
Officially, turmeric is cultivated on more than 60,000 acres in the district, but its unofficial cultivation area is much larger. There, turmeric producers constitute a significant portion of the electorate. And if their demand is satisfied, it will be a boost for Dharmapuri Arvind, making the election difficult for Kavitha.
