The following companies invested $47 billion in Telangana:
MLC Kalvakuntla Kavitha said that the Telangana government's policies of openness have brought in $47 billion in investments and created 30 lakh jobs over the last nine years.
Kavitha was speaking at the event where Mattam Bhikshapati was sworn in as the Chairman of the State Trade Promotion Corporation. She told Bhikshapati she was happy for him and that he was proof that hard work could pay off. Kavitha said that the Telangana government is leading the way for industry growth in India. She said that even though fewer government jobs exist, lakhs of new jobs are being made in the private industry. She said that the openness of the state's economic policy was what made it work. She said that the government had enabled businesses to do well.
The BRS MLC said that the State Trade Promotion Corporation is a key part of the state's attempts to promote exports. She said that the company has been a big help to businesses that want to sell their goods in other countries.
She said that the company's income has gone from Rs 30 crore to Rs 130 crore in the last few years. She said she is sure the company's revenue will hit Rs 1500 crore soon. Kavitha said that Bhikshapati is a strong and experienced boss who can take the company to new heights. She hoped that he would do well in his new job.
