The leaders of Pawan Kalyan's loose tongue need to be reined in
Recently, Janasena president Pawan Kalyan provided further clarification on the party's alliances. The implication was strong that he would be running for office with the TDP and that negotiations were underway to divide up seats. In the meantime, he appears to be trying to cram more people into the available seating. Almost a full year has passed since the last elections. In the wake of the 2019 elections, Pawan Kalyan has taken a stance in opposition to the TDP. Whenever there is an alliance, it becomes more difficult for votes to be transferred. Since this announcement is necessary, TDP and Janasena have no choice but to make it.
Janasena supporters are constantly insulting Chandrababu and Lokesh despite the fact that Pawan Kalyan is eager to join the TDP.
We saw this play out at the recent public meeting held by the Janasena and at the previous meeting of the Kapu associations. If this is happening just before Pawan Kalyan's arrival, then we have some idea of the situation there. A vote transfer will be extremely challenging in the coming days under these conditions. Pawan Kalyan needs to prevent his leaders and cadre from cultivating such a hostile atmosphere.
He needs to assert that no one else besides himself is authorised to comment on alliances. He had better hurry up and make a final announcement about the alliance to put an end to all the rumours.
