The story of Rahul Gandhi and two truck drivers. What it says about India, the US, and freedom in general
Rahul Gandhi's recent six-day visit to the United States has generated more drama and commotion than was anticipated. What does this indicate about India, the United States, and concepts of freedom? He was the target of a long list of unfounded and false accusations, ranging from the absurd claim that Rahul's invitation from Standford University was a hoax, that a radical Islamic organization paid for his trip, and that he had been socializing with Khalistani separatists groups
There was one drastically different thing Rahul did in the US that no one seems to have known about until it was made public, among all these absurd falsehoods about what he did there. From Washington, DC, to New York, Rahul travelled on a 90-foot trailer with a Punjabi truck driver. To better comprehend their lives, experiences, and everyday struggles, Rahul had travelled in a lorry with a Punjabi driver from Delhi to Chandigarh a month earlier. He then uploaded a YouTube video to his channel that detailed the journey. Encouraged by this encounter, he took another truck ride, this time in America with a Punjabi "Indian American" driver, to compare notes.
