This Actress Reacts To SC’s Order On Abortion

The Supreme Court of India today announced that all women are entitled to a safe and legal abortion process and making any difference between a married and an unmarried woman is unconstitutional.

This breaking judgment, given by the Justice DY Chandrachud, Justice AS Bopanna and Justice JB Pardiwala, said that women can seek an abortion during their pregnancy in around 20-14 weeks.

Now, Tollywood actress Poonam Kaur, who needs no introduction, responded to this.

Supporting this order, she said, “A woman has every right to decide what she wants to do with the child and whether married or unmarried. I have seen women impregnate themselves to keep the marriage and their financial security, where the man has to suffer all his life in many ways and women should not be using this power of reproducing as a weapon for selfish reasons.”
