Three Indian-Origin Students Killed, Two Injured in Alpharetta Car Accident
Three Indian-origin students lost their lives, and two others were injured in a car accident in Alpharetta, Georgia, last week. The five victims, all 18 years old, were students at Alpharetta High School and the University of Georgia.
Police suspect that speed was a factor in the crash, which occurred on May 14. The car overturned and landed upside down in a tree line after the driver lost control. Aryan Joshi and Sriya Avasarala were pronounced dead at the scene, while Anvi Sharma died from her injuries at the hospital. The injured students, Rithwak Somepalli and Mohammed Liyakath, are currently receiving treatment at North Fulton Hospital in Alpharetta, officials reported.
