Tollywood Actress Raashi Lauds AP CM

Everyone, from the common man to celebrities to politicians, has welcomed the ‘Andhra Pradesh Disha Bill’, passed in AP Legislative Assembly’s last Friday.

The bill will provide a death sentence for offenses of rapes and gang rapes, including expediting trails within 21 days. The move has been highly lauded and AP CM Jagan was truly appreciated.

On this historic move, Telugu actress Raashi Khanna, while interacting with media last evening, said that the new Disha Act is very constructive, as it will instill fear among those who think of committing such heinous crimes on women. The AP govt's alert move has helped many, the actress claimed.

Thanking AP govt, Raashi Khanna also added that other states must learn from AP and implement such laws.

Jagan’s government introduced this bill to curb crimes against women. Under this Act, the culprit will be sentenced to death if found guilty of rape within 21 days.

The most important part, the investigation, must be completed within 14 days. The Disha Act includes Section 354 F and 354 G in IPC and also prescribes life imprisonment for other sexual offenses against women and children.
