Fans love them for their breath-taking performances and even try to imitate their mannerisms. No one pays attention to their educational qualifications or what degrees they hold. Even the actors themselves give less importance to their academics. In most of the cases, they prefer acting over degree. Who wouldn’t choose fame and money?

The general mindset is that a person who is good at academics can’t necessarily be good in the showbiz world. Some actors drop-out of college to pursue their acting dream. Nayantara - She was born in Bengaluru and studied in various parts of India as her father was an Indian Air force official. Before stepping into the film industry, she completed her graduation and attained a Bachelor’s degree in English literature from Marthoma College, Thiruvalla.

Anushka Shetty – Anushka is one of the most famous actresses in South India. She completed her schooling from Bengaluru and then pursed Bachelor of Computer Applications from Mount Carmel College, Bengaluru.

Samantha Ruth Prabhu – Samantha hails from Chennai and was born to Telugu father and Malayali mother. She, however, cites herself as Tamilian. After completing her schooling from Holy Angels Anglo Indian H. S. S, she opted for graduation and pursued a degree in Commerce at Stella Maris College, Chennai.

Tamannaah – She is a famous name in Hindi, Tamil and Telugu film industry. Born in Mumbai to a diamond merchant, Tamannaah is of Sindhi descent. Although she started working at the age of 13, when she was spotted at her school’s annual day function, she has completed her studies and done graduation in Arts.

Shruthi Haasan – Shruti is the daughter of famous actors Kamal Hassan and Sarika Thakur. After completing her schooling from Lady Andal School in Chennai, she studied Psychology at St Andrew’s College, Mumbai.

Trisha Krishnan – Trisha was born in Chennai and wanted to become a criminal psychologist. But after she was offered a role in Tamil movie, she couldn’t complete her education. However, she compensated by attending summer classes.
