Tragic Fire Incident in Nampally Claims Seven Lives

A devastating fire occurred in Nampally Bazarghat, Hyderabad, resulting in the loss of seven lives. The incident transpired in the morning when a fire broke out in an apartment in Bazarghat, claiming six lives on the spot, with another person succumbing to injuries in the hospital. The blaze originated from the storage of chemicals in the building's basement.
The entire structure quickly became engulfed in flames, leading to the tragic demise of six individuals. The fire was reported at 9:30 am, prompting locals to promptly notify the fire department. The Bazarghat building, housing 15 families across five stories, also stored chemicals, diesel oil, and used vehicle oils in its basement. The fire, triggered by a short circuit, rapidly spread throughout the building.
Despite immediate alerts from locals, several individuals sleeping at the time were trapped in the smoke, resulting in fatalities due to suffocation. The fire also damaged six two-wheelers and a car. Although five fire engines were dispatched to control the blaze, it had already spread extensively by the time they arrived.
Challenges in accessing the building hindered the firefighting efforts, leading to a significant loss of life. The presence of diesel fumes further complicated the situation, making it difficult for those inside to escape.
