UK Approves Pfizer’s Covid Vaccine, First In The World

In a recent update to BioNTech Pfizer, UK has become the first country to approve the vaccine, that could in result pave for further developments and treatment of virus by vaccine.

Britain’s Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (MHRA) has approved the vaccine for emergency use, which as it has been claimed by the company is 95% effective against the virus. That means the vaccine will be available in Britain from next week, according to a statement from the U.K. government.

Meanwhile, media and government of other countries comment on the decision as taken too early whereas it is unnoticed that British regulators have made this decision ahead of their American counterparts.

Britain Prime Minister Boris Johnson said, “The vaccine will begin to be made available across the UK from next week. It’s the protection of vaccines that will ultimately allow us to reclaim our lives and get the economy moving again.”

Earlier, Pfizer has claimed that their vaccine is ninety-five percent effective against the virus. The first primary objective analysis is based on 170 cases of COVID-19, of which 162 cases of COVID-19 were observed in the placebo group versus 8 cases in the BNT162b2 group.
