UP Violence: Many Arrested Houses Of 2 Accused Bulldozed In Saharanpur

The UP Police have so far arrested 304 accused from 6 districts for violent protests on June 10, Friday. Protests erupted after Friday namaz over suspended BJP leader Nupur Sharma's comments on Prophet Muhammad. The police have captured 91 accused from Prayagraj, 71 from Saharanpur, 51 from Hathras, 34 from Moradabad, 15 from Ferozabad, and 34 from Ambedkarnagar. So far, the police have filed 13 FIRs.
Also, the houses of 2 accused were demolished in Saharanour on Saturday. Saharanpur SSP Akash Tomar said that a joint team of district administration, development authority, revenue team, municipal corporation, and police was directed to take action on the illegal properties of the accused in Friday's incident.
"We have taken action with bulldozers. More people are being identified. There will be coordinated action on any illegal properties found. We will put NSA as well," the SSP said
Saharanpur City SP Rajesh Kumar said that the police have also arrested an accused who was involved in getting printed several posters for protest. He told 2 involved in the protests had been identified and found they had illegal constructions.
UP ADG Law and Order Prashant Kumar also talked tough and said that the recovery would be made from those found to be involved in the violence on Friday.
"Procurement for all damages will be done. Properties of the guilty will be seized under the Gangsters Act. No one will be spared," he said.
"Strict action to be taken immediately if any element takes the law into its hand. Peace must be maintained in 6 affected districts," Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath directed the officials.
