US and Australia faces extreme weather conditions
US and Australia are currently experiencing most intense weather conditions ever in its history. With the worst of the weather expected across the Midwest, and especially Chicago, forecasters say that it could get even much colder than parts of Antarctica. The weather office in Des Moines, Iowa, where temperatures are expected to reach about -20C (-4F) on Wednesday, urged residents "to protect your lungs from severely cold air, avoid taking deep breaths; minimise talking." Warming centres have been opened and schools and universities are closed throughout the region.
At the same time while in Australia people are worried about experiencing tremendous heat. There were even power failures due to excessive use of air conditioners. With the temperature reaching nearly 116 degrees Fahrenheit, the authorities have slowed down Tram services to save power.
This year we are seeing extreme conditions which were never experienced before making difficult for people especially in US and Australia with their daily activities put to halt.
