IT and Industries Minister KT Rama Rao criticised the BJP-led Centre for doing nothing to advance the development of the State, claiming that Telangana had experienced tremendous growth in all areas since becoming a distinct State under the BR's administration. He asserted that Prime Minister Narender Modi had only aided the development of his buddy Adani.
Speaking to a large crowd at Thorrur town on Wednesday as part of the festivities for International Women's Day, Rama Rao also praised Panchayat Raj Minister Errabelli Dayakar Rao for his work as a minister.
Rama Rao promised to try to bring a 100-bed hospital to Thorrur town and a 50-bed hospital to Palakurthy town after Dayakar Rao requested money worth Rs. 25 crores to develop the Thorrur town.
Later, he gave SHG members checks for interest-free loans, Abaya Hastam, Sthree Nidhi money, and financial connections. He said the State administration would give SHG participants in the State Rs 1550 crore.
The Minister had participated in the groundbreaking and opening rituals for construction projects totalling Rs. 14.48 crore at Thorrur. Additionally, he gave 1,000 sewing tools to women as part of an initiative. MLAs, MLCs, and officials were present, including Minister Satyavathi Rathod, Secretary (PR&RD) Sandeep Kumar, MA&UD head Satyanarayana, and District Commissioner K Shashanka.
