Union Minister Praises Telangana's Agricultural Produce.

Spices, chili, Turmeric, cotton, and a few varieties of rice grown in the State of Telangana have come in for praise from Union Minister of Commerce and Industry Piyush Goyal. The minister also mentioned the unique Cheriyal paintings from the State.
As of September this year, exports have grown by 17% since last year's $675 billion. He predicted that exports would reach $750 billion this year.
Union Minister referred to Hyderabad as the `land of Covid vaccine'; Goyal also used the trading platform to pitch a `double engine sarkar' for Telangana.
A plan to ensure cotton traceability and better value for cotton products was discussed by Goyal with the cotton industry stakeholders. He said the Centre had imposed export restrictions to ensure domestic food security in response to concerns raised by rice growers.
Micro, small, and medium enterprises face significant challenges, according to FTCCI President Anil Agarwal. The industry body also flagged levy on the export of non-basmati rice, antidumping duty, and rationalization of GST in certain pharma segments, making it mandatory for the companies to get the production-linked incentives to source from small players and others.
