Upasana Konidela Hurts, Writes to Modi on Bias!

Upasana Konidela who is a businesswoman has spoken up on the partiality of our Prime Minister in meeting only Bollywood celebrities for an initiative ‘#ChangeWithin’ to popularize Mahatma Gandhi's ideas through the films and to mark his 150th birth anniversary celebrations. Modi has interacted with the film industry people on Saturday evening. Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Jacqueline Fernandez, Kangana Ranaut, Raj Kumar Hirani, Anand L Rai and others have met Modi at his residence in Delhi as a part of the initiative. The only Telugu celebrity who was seen at the meeting is producer Dil Raju.
Upset, with this Upasana wrote a letter to Modi saying that there are many Tollywood celebrities who deserve the representation as leading personalities or cultural icons. She said that representation was limited to Bollywood celebrities and the South celebs are completely neglected. She expressed her pain and said that she hopes for a positive response.
Sharing a photo of PM Narendra Modi with Shah Rukh Khan and Aamir Khan, Upasana wrote, "Dearest @narendramodi ji. We in the South of INDIA admire you & are Proud to have you as our Prime Minister. With all due respect, we felt that the representation of Leading personalities & cultural icons was limited only to Hindi Artists and The South Film Industry was neglected. I express my feelings with pain & hope it’s taken in the right spirit. Jai Hind (sic)"
