Vangaveeti Radha quits YSRCP due to denial of Vijayawada Central ticket
The chief opposition party in Andhra Pradesh YSRCP has received a major setback as Vangaveeti Radha has confirmed leaving YSR Congress. He has sent his resignation letter to the party chief YS Jagan Mohan Reddy and described his emotions in the form of a letter.
His decision comes after he was denied to contest elections from the Vijayawada Central constituency. Instead, Jagan told Radha to contest from the Vijayawada East constituency and this was what had made him take this decision as per the sources.
Radha, who was with the Congress like his father, was denied a Vijayawada Central ticket, the seat he had won as an MLA in 2004. In 2009, he contested on a Praja Rajyam Party (PRP) ticket but lost, before moving to Jagan's YSRCP in 2014, only to lose again. This time around, Radha and his allies were determined to prove that they still enjoy influence in the region. But right after the decision of Jagan which he was not happy with, he has been avoiding all the party activities and there were many rumours suspecting his departure from the party.
While many suspect that he might join Pawan Kalyan's Janasena but it will be time that will speak the tale.
