Venky Mama Review – Routine But Entertaining!

People have a lot of expectations with Venkatesh’s film and he won’t disappoint his fans. He has tried his best to entertain them. Venky Mama is a film that people have been waiting for since the announcement. The film finally hits the screens today. Let’s see how it is!

Venky Mama Story:

Rama Narayana (Nassar) is the head of a village and also an astrologer. As per his predictions, his grandson Karthik (Naga Chaitanya) will bring death to their parents before he turns one. After the death of his parents, Karthik is raised by his uncle Ratnam (Venkatesh). But suddenly, Karthik leaves his uncle. Why did he leave? What does Rama Narayana fear? What will stars like Prakash Raj and Rao Ramesh do in the film? These questions will only be answered on the screen!

Venky Mama Review:

Venkatesh, as said earlier, will never disappoint his fans. He performed superbly with all the josh. Naga Chaitanya could have performed better to match the energy levels of Venky. The emotions between Venky and Chay in the first half are good. Payal Rajput and Raashi Khanna are just about okay. In most Telugu films, the hero will be given priority and the heroine will have nothing much to do except act as the hero’s girlfriend. As the film has two heroines, they had very less scope to perform. The good thing is that there is no vulgarity.

Director Bobby needs to work on his craft a lot. He has directed the film just like a debutant. He came up with a very routine story. If it were not for Venky, we couldn’t say anything about the film. Production values are superb as enough budget has been spent, without compromise. The camera work is colorful. Editing is good but it could have been tighter. Music by Thaman is just average.
