Veteran Writer And Actor Gollapudi Maruthi Rao Garu Is No More

The chairman of Srikalahasti Pipes, film and theatre actor, screenwriter, dramatist, playwright, and dialogue writer, known for his work in Telugu cinema, Gollapudi Maruthi Rao Garu breathed his last today in Chennai.
Running critically low on his health, doctors had advised him to quit every job and rest but he worked until his last days. Today he breathed his last in the morning hours. This news has brought a shock to everyone who was near him and has left them Dejected.
He has acted in over 230 Telugu movies and was a member of the Script Scrutiny Committee of National Film Development Corporation. Rao has also been awarded the Nandini award for the best story writer for Athma Gauravam.
Some of his other works include several plays (9), playlets (18), novels (12), story volumes (4), essays (2), children's stories (3). He also wrote a weekly magazine Jeevankaalam.
Gollapudi was a man of honor and always reflected positivity within himself to others. His demise has brought sadness over everyone’s face. The nation will not be able to see any other of his kind.
