Vijay Deverakonda Opens Up On His Physical Transformation

Sensational hero Vijay Deverakonda is all set to hit the screens with his upcoming movie ‘Liger’ on August 25th. Ahead of the pan-India release, the actor has been travelling to parts of India to promote his movie on a large scale.
As part of the film promotions, Vijay Deverakonda recently had a chat session with director Puri Jagannadh and maker Charmme Kaur, where the trio revealed many interesting facts about the making of Liger.
In the interview, the Arjun Reddy actor spoke about his physical transformation for Liger. “It took me almost like 1 and a half years, eating clean and working out every day, which included the pandemic to get this physique,” he said.
He also revealed that he stopped consuming alcohol and sugar and worked out in the gym with full of commitment to get the desired body.
“After working out for 6 months, I was still not happy with my shape and I had an image in my mind and I haven’t achieved it yet. So, I asked them to begin the film with scenes which don’t require me to show off my body. I would keep asking them for more time as I was still not happy. As an actor, we have timelines to push and As an actor, I wanted to look like a bodybuilder. But need to move like a fighter. So what I was doing was working like 4 hours a day, which includes heavy weight training and immediately 1 and half hour of fight training,” he added.
Helmed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is bankrolled by Dharma Productions and Puri Connects.
It took a lot of effort with Mental and Physical Training to transform from The Rowdy Boy to #LIGER
