Virat Kohli Scores Finally Gets His 71st International Century

Virat Kohli has finally smashed a century in international cricket after 1020 days. As a result of this century, he has the joint-second-most centuries in the history of the game.
At the Dubai International Cricket Stadium on Thursday, September 8, Virat Kohli smashed his century against the Mohammad Nabi-led Afghanistan National Cricket Team in the fifth match of the Asia Cup 2022 Super 4 round.
Kohli last scored an international century in November 2019 at Eden Gardens against Bangladesh, and an ODI century in August 2019 at Queen's Park Oval against West Indies. After 2 years, 9 months, and 16 days, Virat Kohli has scored his first international century. This was Kohli’s first T20I ton.
After Suresh Raina, Rohit Sharma and KL Rahul, Kohli is now the fourth Indian National Cricket Team batter to score a century in all three formats.
Meanwhile, Kohli completed his half-century off 32 balls against Afghanistan. In total, he scored 122 runs off 61 balls, including 12 fours and 6 sixes, and he batted with a strike rate of 200. During the ongoing Asia Cup, Kohli has now scored the most runs. Also, India were able to post 212/2 on the board after losing the toss and batting first.
