Vivek Oberoi Joins Nitesh Tiwari’s ‘Ramayana’: Star-Studded Cast Revealed

Director Nitesh Tiwari’s upcoming film Ramayana continues to generate buzz as it adds more big names to its ensemble. The mythological epic, which will be released in two parts, stars Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Rama and is slated to hit theatres in Diwali 2026.
Joining him is Sai Pallavi, making her Bollywood debut as Sita. Kannada superstar Yash, known for KGF, will portray Ravana, marking his first venture into Hindi cinema. Veteran actor Sunny Deol takes on the role of Hanuman, while Amitabh Bachchan is reportedly cast as Jatayu.
The cast also includes Lara Dutta (Kaikeyi), Kajal Aggarwal (Mandodari), Rakul Preet Singh (Surpanakha), and Mohit Raina reprising his famed role as Lord Shiva. Arun Govil, iconic for his portrayal of Ram in Ramanand Sagar’s TV series, returns as King Dasharath.
Other confirmed roles include Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, Kunal Kapoor as Indra, Adinath Kothare as Bharat, and Vivek Oberoi as Vidhyutjiva. Rumors suggest that Anil Kapoor and Vikrant Massey may play Janaka and Meghnad respectively, though this is yet to be officially confirmed.
The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) recently approved the first promo, which runs 2 minutes and 36 seconds and received a ‘U’ certificate. The teaser has reportedly been well-received internally and is expected to drop soon.
With its impressive lineup and iconic storyline, Ramayana is shaping up to be one of India’s most ambitious cinematic projects. Nitesh Tiwari, known for hits like Dangal, is reportedly working closely with VFX teams and mythological consultants to ensure authenticity and visual excellence.
