Welfare schemes benefits reaching every house: KTR

KT Rama Rao, Minister of Municipal Administration and Urban Development, said the State govt was implementing welfare schemes in a planned manner to ensure the benefits reached every low-income family in the State.
Speaking after laying the foundation stone for handloom clusters at Theratpally and Gattuppal, to be set up at the cost of Rs 8.91 crore, Rama Rao said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao had repeatedly said that the smile on the face of the people was the only parameter for the effectiveness of any government. Hence, the BRS government took up welfare schemes to benefit people of all sections.
“We talk politics only during elections. The support of the people further encourages the state government to serve the people,” he added.
Assurances were given by the Minister that irrigation issues in the Munugode Assembly Constituency would be resolved soon and that Chandur's face would be transformed within 6 months through a beautification project. There will also be an integrated vegetable and meat market at Chandur, which will cost Rs.2 crore.
The event was attended by Thungathurthy MLA G Kishore, Munugode MLA Koosukuntla Prabhakar Reddy, Nalgonda Zilla Parishad Chairman Banda Narender Reddy, and others.
