‘World’s Dirtiest Man’ Dies After Taking First Bath

An Iranian loner named Amou Haji, AKA the “dirtiest man in the world”, passed away at 94 in the village of Dejgah in Iran’s southern province of Fars. This person hadn’t taken a shower for more than half a century, as he was afraid of water.
It is reported that a few months ago, a few villagers forced him to wash for the first time and not long after that, he fell ill and finally breathed his last on Sunday.
As he had no family or a home, the villagers built him a cinderblock shack, so he would stop falling asleep in a hole. For decades, he had avoided eating fresh food for fear of getting sick.
Owing to his special record, a short documentary which was titled ‘The Strange Life of Amou Haji’ was done in 2013, chronicling his life.
