YRSCP Leaders Demands CBI Probe Into Naidu’s Assets

The Income Tax Department had recently carried out a Search and Seizure action comprising three prominent infrastructure groups at the houses of prominent persons and contractors.
Former personal secretary of Telugu Desam Party president and former Andhra Pradesh chief minister N Chandrababu Naidu and Telugu Desam Party Kadapa district president R Srinivasa Reddy were among those who faced the raids. YRSCP leaders have found it a golden chance to ruin the opposition's image. As a result, they have demanded a CBI and ED probe into the assets of TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu.
They accused the TDP leaders by claiming Income Tax department statements that busted a major racket of cash generation through bogus sub-contractors, over-invoicing and bogus billing involving three prominent infra firms.
The YSRCP was quick to point the secretary mentioned as P Srinivas, AP’s General Administration Department official, who was with Naidu when he was the CM. On February 6, raids were also conducted on the properties of Srinivasulu Reddy, Kadapa district TDP leader. More than half the number of YRSCP ministers spoke against Naidu.
TDP ministers have taken their master's side by saying, “In the past 26 inquiries have been held on Chandrababu Naidu. But no single allegation was proved. But now YSRCP leaders and their media are spreading mala fide propaganda against TDP. We condemn it seriously. If they will not stop it, we will take legal action,” Ramakrishnudu told Ani.
