YSRCP MP’s Convoy Hits Amravati Farmer

YSRCP Bapatla MP Nandigam Suresh's Convoy hit one of the Amaravati farmers who were heading to witness Amaralingeswara Swamy Rathtsavam at Amaravathi on Sunday.
The YSRCP leader was returning from Amaravati to Guntur after attending a function at the Amareswara temple in Amaravati when his car crashed into the farmer coming from the opposite direction.
This outraged other farmers present there and they tried to stop and block the convoy of the Lok Sabha MP which led to a heavy stampede and some heating arguments between the groups. However, later on local police intervened and shifted the injured person to Amaravati General Hospital, where first aid was administered to him.
The farmer identified as Hanumantha Rao suffered a fractured leg and is being treated in the Amravati General Hospital. Hours after following the incident, a group of women, who hail from the capital region of Amaravati, lodged a complaint with the police against the MP Suresh for allegedly abusing and attacking them.
