"You destroyed their homes, their dreams," KTR argues, criticizing the bulldozer politics of Revanth Reddy.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy and the Congress leadership were criticized by BRS working president KT Rama Rao on Tuesday for abandoning the Telangana people by carrying out demolitions in the name of the Musi Riverfront Development Project. He denounced the destruction of homes and the loss of many lives, particularly those of children.
You destroyed their aspirations and their homes, dear Chief Minister. These kids look for their life's memories among the rubble of their destroyed home. Will you and your ministers inform them that you demolished their houses in order to construct shopping centers? He shared a video of two young girls at their mostly wrecked house in Shankar Nagar close, asking, "Is this the people's governance you promised?"
Directly addressing Rahul Gandhi, the BRS working president questioned the discrepancy between the national rhetoric of the Congress leader and the local Congress government's actions. "Look at your Telangana demolition sarkaar. "You said you would support the people, but have you listened to the people of Telangana who are against your Chief Minister's bulldozer politics?" he questioned. He desired Rahul Gandhi to travel to the areas impacted by the Musi project and observe the situation on the ground.
Rama Rao also drew attention to the contradiction in the Congress's position on business dealings, pointing out that while Chief Minister Revanth Reddy teams up with Adani in Davos, Rahul Gandhi launches a war against the company in Delhi. Likewise, Bulldozer Raj is correct in Hyderabad but incorrect in Uttar Pradesh, according to Congress officials.
He also criticised the Congress’s double standards on MLAs defections, drawing attention to its actions in Telangana. He pointed out that the Congress was encouraging defections in Telangana, while opposing defections in other States like Himachal Pradesh. “Is this righteousness or opportunistic politics?” he asked.
He also called attention to the Congress's conduct in Telangana and criticized it for having inconsistent policies on MLA defections. He made the observation that the Congress supported defections in Telangana but opposed them in Himachal Pradesh and other states. "Is this political opportunism or righteousness?" he questioned.
