You must be at least 18 to watch Leo.

Unexpectedly, Ahimsa Entertainments, Vijay's international distributor, has declared that viewers of Leo must be at least eighteen years old. "LEO" is powerful. It's not for the faint of heart, with intense violence and intricately designed horrific sequences that turn out to be more brutal than even we had anticipated.
We intended for "LEO" to have a 15+ rating, but the BBFC granted it an 18+, so those who are 18 years of age and older can only see it in theaters. Sadly, younger pupils between the ages of 15 and 17 are not included in this. The distributors' statement was read. Given Thalapathy Vijay's enduring appeal to kids between the ages of 4 and 14, we can get the desire for a kid-friendly 12A version of "LEO."
Making such a version of the movie would, however, require eliminating all of the highlights, or the main action sequences and action scenes, even if we're releasing it later. We don't want to go in this approach, as it would drastically alter the movie from its initial draft. We deeply regret to all the parents who were looking forward to taking their children to see this movie, the statement continued.
