TDP's Lokesh Condemns Education Policies Under Jagan's Rule
Accusing Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy's administration of neglecting education, TDP national general secretary Nara Lokesh raised concerns about the alarming dropout rates among underprivileged students in Andhra Pradesh. At a Sankharavam meeting in Madugula Assembly constituency, Lokesh attributed the spike in dropouts to the government's decision to merge schools under GO 117, leading to the discontinuation of education for nearly 1,93,000 students between 2020 and 2023.
Highlighting the TDP's commitment to education accessibility, Lokesh pledged to revoke GO 117 and continue the infrastructure development initiated during the previous TDP regime. He criticized Jagan for allegedly orchestrating insults against TDP leaders and manipulating the narrative of elections as a battle between the poor and capitalists.
Lokesh emphasized TDP's focus on development, citing the allocation of Rs 1,000 crore for Madugula from 2014 to 2019. He also criticized YSRC MLA Budi Mutyala Naidu for neglecting Madugula's development despite holding the position of Deputy Chief Minister. The TDP leader's remarks underscored the party's stance on education and development, positioning it against the policies and actions of the current administration.
