CM KCR announces that 32% of SCCL profits will be allocated to coal employees
Tuesday in Hyderabad, Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao decided to distribute 32% of the Singareni Collieries Company Limited's profits as a bonus to the coal employees. This is the largest gift the company has ever given its employees in its entire history.
The Chief Minister's Office issued orders directing Chief Secretary A Santhi Kumari to facilitate payment of 32% of the profit earned by SCCL (after taxes) as a special incentive to the company's employees for the fiscal year 2022-23.
Since the formation of Telangana, the state government has increased the proportion of profits given to the company's employees each year. This is also considered the largest Dasara gift provided to the nation's coal workers.
Following the announcement, coal workers across the eleven regions of the corporation in the state erupted in joy. BRS MLC Telangana Boggu Ghani Karmika Sangham (TBGKS) honorary president K Kavitha tweeted extending special thanks to the Chief Minister on behalf of the coal employees. She stated that the chief minister was increasing the share of profits given to employees annually and working for the coal workers' welfare.
Last week, Singareni management deposited Rs. 1,450 crore in 11th Wage Board arrears to Singareni employees.
