KCR starts the hiring process to fill 3 open MLC positions.

Party leader and Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has started the process to fill the positions left vacant by the terms of three BRS MLCs, Naveen Rao, A Krishna Reddy, and Gangadhar Goud, who were elected under the MLA quota, expiring in March. D Sravan, former Legislative Council chairman Swamy Goud, ex-MLA Bikshamiah Goud, and former minister Tummala Nageswar Rao are among the prominent figures running for the positions.
According to sources, there is a long list of figures who are hoping to be elected to the council since they feel they were denied seats in the 2014 general election, the 2018 Assembly elections, and the 2019 Lok Sabha. The distribution of the Council seat is anticipated to be heavily influenced by factors related to caste and religion. In May, the terms of two more MLCs who were appointed under the governor's quota—D Rajeswhar Rao and Farooq Hussein—will expire.
Naveen Rao, a member of the Velama community, is probably going to get another opportunity from the BRS head. Rajeshwar Rao, a Christian, would likely continue to represent Christians since KCR wants to preserve religious harmony. Similar to this, Farooq Hussain could be re-elected since the party lacks a recognisable Muslim figurehead.
